The Team

Rob, Lou and Tipsy the Cockapoo. We are a surf and ski couple from Newquay in Cornwall, with a mission to live our best lives whilst having minimal impact on our planet.
The Challenge

This winter we will be taking part in our own eco challenge to help raise money for the charity Protect Our Winters (POW) UK. Firstly, we will be doing our whole ski season without lift passes. Secondly, our goal is to climb (on skis) 50,000 vertical metres each, totalling 100k together as a couple.
Our Goal
------------
Our mission is to help protect the sport we love by respecting the mountains we live in. The future of snow sports is under threat by our changing climate, so we are taking action to minimise the impact we have on our planet. From the clothes we wear, to the food we eat, to the way we travel in the mountains, we will be looking at all aspects in which we can reduce our carbon footprint and sharing our story along the way.
The Charity

Protect Our Winters (POW) UK are an independent charity with a mission to “inspire and equip UK based outdoor communities to take positive action to address the climate crisis and to accelerate the transition to a carbon neutral society”.
By fundraising for POW UK we hope to help them raise further awareness of the effect climate change is having on our planet and to support them in educating those who want to take action. We also hope to inspire others to take on their own eco challenges no matter how big or small.

It’s hard to believe sometimes that as individuals we can make a difference, but when communities join together we can do great things. By donating today you will be taking action in helping us with our eco journey to increase awareness of climate change and the effects it is having on snow sports and most importantly our Planet Earth.
